Through mutual aid agreements with Fire Departments in the South Suburbs of Chicago, Bud's Ambulance is capable of supplying ambulances for large-scale disasters as well as assisting municipal-based agencies when EMS call volumes exceed available resources.
We are a member of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) divisions 22, 24 and 27.
Additionally, Bud's Ambulance offers both emergency and non-emergency transportation solutions for healthcare facilities.
EMS SCHEDULING COORDINATOR:
This EMS Scheduling Coordinator will interact with all members of our operations division daily.
The Scheduling Coordinator's responsibilities are to ensure all field assignments are filled and PTO/vacation openings are covered.
Attention to detail and interpersonal skills are a must.
The position is hybrid remote and requires a minimum 1 day per week in office.
This is a high stress and fast paced position that requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
Create and share work schedules using Excel and TEAMS software.
Manage all assigned operations schedules for Paramedic and EMT staff.
Respond promptly to all work-related phone calls, email, text messages, IMs, etc.
40 hours a week minimum.
Hours per week varies based on scheduling needs with no guarantee of set work hours that will be available; additional hours may be necessary if schedules remain unfilled or call off's need to be covered.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and technology skills required 6 months employee scheduling experience preferably in an EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement or Healthcare setting preferred HS diploma or equivalent Ability to adapt to dynamic scheduling needs
Responsibilities:
Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the assignment of EMS Scheduler in a professional and courteous manner, including but not limited to:
Making phone calls, emails, and messages to fill schedules and call off's on a daily basis.
Contacts staff proactively to fill shift assignments at least one month in advance when appropriate.
Engage with currently 100-150 full and part time employees.
Provides solutions to staffing changes and needs.
Works with operations and administrative staff and assists with filling staffing needs accordingly.
Communicates effectively and clearly with all employees.
Assist in developing processes that make scheduling procedures more efficient and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
THE EMPLOYEE MUST ALSO:
Be flexible - work shift schedule will vary; start and shift times will vary due to the nature of the business.
COMPENSATION:
Pay rate commensurate with experience.
